CURRENT BOARD / OFFICERS

Michael Berry (2022-2024)
Association President

My wife and I along with our 3 sons have lived here in York Place since the now infamous spring of 2020, having purchased our home in July 2019 and then completely remodeled to make it our forever home. We chose this neighborhood based on the appeal of spacious lots, great location and friendly neighbors – many of whom we met while work trucks and construction dumpsters filled our driveway for 9 months – and many more we look forward to meeting by bringing neighborly gatherings back to our community. It’s my understanding that for whatever reason in recent years our board meetings have been sparsely attended by homeowners, and as such there are some long standing concerns that have gone unaddressed. It would be an honor to have your vote to join our HOA board and bring nearly 3 decades of prior HOA board experience to help maintain where necessary – and improve where possible – the property value and quality of neighborhood life for all York Place homeowners and their families.

Ann Dowling (2022-2024)
Association Treasurer

My name is Ann Dowling. My husband and children moved into the York Place subdivision on 2003. We are the original owners of our home on Adelaide Ct. I have worked at the University of Michigan Health System as a nurse/ nurse case manager for 35 years. Both my husband and I have served previously on the York Place HOA board. Our subdivision has had several new families move in during the pandemic. I would like to develop some social gatherings to welcome our new neighbors and to resume some of the previous York Place events such as the annual cookout/ bbq. As our subdivision is aging, I advocate that the board inventory the cul de sacs and entrances for replacement of trees and shrubs/ perennials. York Place is a great place to live and I hope to continue to improve on the York Place experience.
